Assessments

Assessments on the Diploma course include the following:

  • a written examination (3h00) on Chinese Medical Theory (TCM & Fundamentals) – year 1
  • a written examination (1h30) on Chinese Medical Theory (ACM) – year 2
  • a written examination (1h30) on diagnostic skills – year 2
  • an acupuncture competency examination (1h00) – year 2
  • a tongue and pulse diagnostics log book (six hundred cases) – years 1-3
  • a written examination (3h00) on treatment of disease and competency practice – year 3
  • three case studies (2,000 words each) based on clinical practice – year 3
  • a clinical log book (90 hours) based on clinical practice – year 3

Students on the Diploma will be required to successfully complete each of these examinations in order to progress on to each successive year of training within the college. This will ensure a high standard of skill from the students who undertake training with us.
