Qi Gong and Chinese Medicine Energetics

Each of the teaching days runs from 9am until 5pm. We run two main teaching sessions.

  • Session 1 = 9.00am until 12.30pm
  • Session 2 = 1.30pm until 5.00pm

During these sessions students study the core of the Chinese medicine modules. As well as this students also study the nature of Qi Gong, the human energetic matrix and the use of these teachings within a clinical setting. These classes run in the evenings on some of the teachings days from 7.00pm until 9.00pm. This means that on some of the teachings days you will have full days as well as evenings classes. This will make for some days packed with information!

The Qi Gong classes we teach on the course are not specifically ‘exercises’ in the conventional sense but rather methods for contacting your own energetic system, developing it’s strength and how to apply these teachings medically. Exercises for developing sensitivity, cleaning the energy body and manipulating the Qi of the needle and your patient are explored on the course. Qi Gong was always a classical part of Chinese medicine training and we do more than just pay lip service to these methods on the Diploma training.

Qi Gong and Energetics are an important part of Chinese medical study though in modern times it is often stripped out of courses or else only lip service is paid to this vital aspect of the study
